This sculpture seems to say, "You know I'll always love you." Touching is very important in the early formative years both for the infant and the parent. As the parent holds the newborn, the baby nuzzles harder, molding its body to the adult. And then the parent bends down to whisper in the child's ear, the babe looks up as if to say, "I know you and you are important to me. I am safe. I am loved."
