What might this madonna-like lady be thinking about? The answer is entirely in your imagination. I exaggerated the size of her hand and closed her eyes to put greater emphasis on the concept of thought, rather than facial features. This is a piece where the stone told me what to do. It was tall, thin and slightly curved. One side was light, the other was dark. It cried out to be a bust deep in thought.
